Crystal City Welcomes In Jefferson On Homecoming Night

(CRYSTAL CITY) It’s Crystal City’s homecoming Friday night as they prepare to welcome in the Jefferson Blue Jays for a little gridiron action on AM 1400 KJFF.

The Blue Jays are 4-0 entering play and are coming off a 14-point victory over St. Pius last week. Before that game, Jefferson had won by a combined 143 points, allowing head coach Alex Rouggly to see what talent he has with his younger players.

Coach Rouggly indicates that the strategy for winning games doesn’t change even with Crystal City as their opponent.

Crystal City remains winless heading into the game at 0-4. The Hornets have lost to Chaffee, Kelly, Principia, and Valle Catholic. Through the first four games, head coach Dan Fox believes senior Dylan Beekman has made the greatest impact on the team.

Coach Fox has had conversations with his players about growing as a team, something he’s asking of them each week.
