(CRYSTAL CITY) As announced Tuesday on Regional Radio, Crystal City’s Michaiah Fels is the latest Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week.

Fels was crowned the Class 1 District 1 champion of the 100 and 300-meter hurdles, took 2nd place in the long jump, and also anchored the district champion 4-by-400 meter relay team.

This is the 2nd year in a row that Fels is the district champion of the 100 and 300-meter hurdles. Taking it one step further, Fels was able to qualify for state last year but unfortunately didn’t make it out of preliminaries.

As the recipient of the Athlete of the Week award, Fels got to choose a non-profit for the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy to donate 25 dollars to a non-profit on her behalf.

Michaiah Fels will be competing in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles, long jump, and the 4-by-400 meter relay during the Class 1 Sectionals on Saturday at South Callaway High School.
