D.N.R. Could Reduce Air Monitoring Near Old Lead Smelter in Herculaneum

(Herculaneum) The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is accepting public comments on the proposed 2023 Air Monitoring Network Plan.
The D.N.R. reevaluate air monitoring equipment and locations annually to collect accurate data and propose changes.
Changes could include reducing monitoring near the old Doe Run Company lead smelter in Herculaneum and the D.N.R. is evaluating low-cost sensors for pollutants at several sites across the state.
The deadline to submit comments is July 16th.
