Daily coronavirus cases Signal Red Status in Jefferson County

(Jefferson County) Daily coronavirus cases continues to signal red status in the CDC’s week 31 update for Jefferson County.

Health department spokeswoman Brianne Zwiener has the latest numbers.

According to Zwiener there is only 1 confirmed case of the Delta variant in Jefferson County; however, the likelihood is high that there is more.

Health officials advise the best precaution you can take against COVID is to get vaccinated and continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene.

So far more than 32 percent of eligible residents have been fully vaccinated in Jefferson County. That’s more than 72,000 people.
