(Potosi) A Crawford County man who was arrested last week for stealing firearms from a Washington County home had his bond reduced this week.

30-year-old Thomas John Coleman’s bond was reduced from 100-thousand dollars to 60-thousand by Judge Troy Hyde.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, the Davisville man allegedly broke into a home near Caledonia three different times between late June and early July, stealing firearms on each occasion.

The homeowner told police four stolen guns were taken, two shotguns, a 22-mag rifle and a 30-30 lever-action rifle, valued altogether at 1,475 dollars.

Coleman apparently admitted his crimes to investigators during initial questioning.

He’s charged with three counts of first degree burglary and four counts of stealing a firearm.

Coleman will have his preliminary hearing set on September 22nd at the courthouse in Potosi.
