Davisville Man’s Criminal Case Finally Ends in Plea Bargain After 8 Years

(Ironton) It took eight years but a conclusion to a Crawford County criminal case has finally taken place.

Before his jury trial could happen, Michael Jodon of Davisville avoided a second degree murder charge after deciding to plead guilty to the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter in Iron County court on a change of venue from Crawford County.

Jodon was then given a 12-year prison sentence.

It was December of 2014 when the 63-year-old was first charged in the death of 46-year-old Michael Sletten, a handicapped man who lived at Jodon’s residence in Davisville off ‘V’ Highway.

Jodon’s wife was also charged and convicted in relation to the case.

38-year-old Rhonda Jodon pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and she received three years of supervised probation.

Her 13-year-old son was home at the time of Sletten’s death.
