De Soto man injured in single vehicle accident in Jefferson County

(Jefferson County) A De Soto man was injured in a single vehicle crash in Jefferson County on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State highway Patrol, a 1999 Suzuki VZ800 driven by 57-year-old Charles Clinton was travelling on old Highway 21 south of Tower Road when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a culvert.

Clinton was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries.

The accident happened around 2:45pm on Sunday.
