Deadline Nears for Viburnum Blue Jays Pink Out Games Special Cancer Fundraising Event

(Viburnum) The Viburnum Blue Jays Booster Club hopes many from the area will participate in a special event the club is hosting soon at the high school gymnasium.

Brenda Wilkinson is a booster club member.

She says the annual Pink Out Basketball Games will take place the evening of February 17th.

Wilkinson says the main purpose of the evening is to raise as much money as they can to help in the battle against cancer locally.

She says this year, the funds will go to a young Blue Jay currently in elementary school.

Wilkinson says this Tuesday is the final day for you to get your order in for a Blue Jay Pink Out Day fan favorite.

The Pink Out games, featuring the Viburnum varsity girls and boys basketball teams against Ellington, gets going at 5 o’clock Thursday evening, February 17th at the Elmer P. Beard Gymnasium in Viburnum.
