Deadly crash on I-44 kills three on Sunday morning

(Franklin County) A four-car accident claimed the lives of three people on Sunday morning.
The Highway Patrol reports 64-year-old Tina Degonia of House Springs was traveling in the wrong direction on I-44 at mile marker 230 in Franklin County, when her 2020 Jeep Cherokee crashed into three oncoming vehicles.
Degonia was pronounced dead by Mercy Hospital Washington personnel, the driver of a Nissan Rogue, 26-year-old Sabrina Sutton of Indiana was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS personnel, Rachel Worley, an occupant in Sutton’s Car was also pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital Washington, and Julie Witherspoon, driver of Jeep Grand Cherokee, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington with minor injuries.
The accident happened at 9:55 Sunday morning.
