(Caledonia, MO) – The Valley Caledonia tournament boys semifinals took place Friday night on J-98. In the first game, top seeded Bismarck downed the host Valley 58-51. Bismarck led for most of the contest, including a 29-23 at halftime. Valley had a late run in the second, but Austin Jarvis gave the momentum back to the Indians before the break.

Jarvis led all players with 28 points. He says having the right mindset is essential for success.

The second semifinal went to overtime and after a back-and-forth contest, third-seeded Bunker came away the victor over second-seeded Greenville, 47-44.

Making it through the extra frame is even more difficult with a varsity roster of six players, but Bunker coach Jarod Kelly says his guys are well prepared for each game.

In tonight’s fifth place game, Lesterville beat Kingston 58-51.   Bunker and Bismarck will meet tomorrow in the boys final at 3:30 with Greenville set for Valley in the third place game scheduled for 12:30. Those games, along with the girls final (2 pm, West County and South Iron) and third place (11 AM, Jefferson and Valley), can all be heard on J-98 tomorrow with coverage starting at 10:45 am.
