(Caledonia, MO) – The Valley Caledonia basketball tournament wrapped up Saturday on J-98 with the Bismarck boys and South Iron girls claiming the championships. In the boys final, Bismarck downed Bunker 58-39. The Indians controlled the contest the entire way.


Jarvis led all scorers with 23 points, Logan Stluka led Bunker with 18. Bismarck coach Tom Brown was glad to see another strong outing from his team’s defense.

 


Bismarck moves to 5-1 with Bunker at 2-1. Meanwhile, the girls championship was similarly lopsided, going to South Iron over West County 53-24. The Panthers built a 14 point lead by halftime.

 


An 18-0 third quarter secured a South Iron victory with eight players making the scoresheet. South Iron coach Lawrence Graves says the defense stepped up.

 


South Iron moves to 4-0 with West County falling to 2-1. In the third place games, the Greenville boys defeated Valley Caledonia 69-56, with the Valley girls winning 56-36 over Jefferson.    You can listen back to the entire games at the link below.
