(Potosi) So far, it’s been a tolerable winter for farmers with livestock in southeast Missouri.

That’s according to Rachel Hopkins, she’s the County Engagement Specialist in Agriculture and Environment with the University of Missouri Extension in Washington County.

There is a good chance for rain Thursday with some snow possibly mixing in with the rain Thursday night into Friday morning.

This weekend, it looks like we may have our coldest temperatures of the winter season with lows in the single digits.

Saturday night’s low is forecast to be 7 and Sunday night’s low is forecast to be 8 degrees.
