Deer Remains Found Saran Wrapped on Highway ‘AA’ Outside of Steelville

(Steelville, Mo.) The Missouri Department of Conservation is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person who left the remains of a deer off a highway in Crawford County.

The Department says a doe was found wrapped in saran wrap with a plastic bag over its head along Highway ‘AA’ outside of Steelville.

The doe was shot in the vitals by a small caliber bullet but no meat was taken off the animal.

Conservation Agent Patrice Reese says they received several reports about this animal on the side of the road.

Reese says it is highly unusual to find an animal in this type of condition.
