Delta Variant of Covid-19 Finds it’s Way to St. Francois County

(Park Hills) It was only a matter of time before the Delta variant of the coronavirus would make its’ way into the Regional Radio listening area.

It became official this week in St. Francois County according to health department Director Linda Ragsdale.

We asked Ragsdale if we should start digging our masks out again.

Ragsdale did say those who became positive with the virus after getting vaccinated is a very minimum number.

She says most of these new cases are from those who have refused to get their shots.

Jefferson County has also reported its’ first confirmed cases of the Delta varaiant.

Reynolds County is also seeing an increase this week in positive Covid-19 cases but so far, they have not confirmed if they are of the Delta variant variety.
