Dent County Girl Shines at Missouri State Fair

(Sedalia) A local girl has found success at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia.

Preslie Strader of Salem has won grand champion with her market lamb.

Preslie says it’s a natural colors lamb that came in at 147 pounds.

Strader will now present her lamb at the state fair Sale of  Champions this weekend.

We asked Preslie what it means to be a part of that prestigious sale.

And Preslie is not just a “one-trick pony…err lamb”.

She actually had six other lambs this year that she showed.

She has also tried other livestock showing at her hometown fair in Dent County.

Preslie Strader will present her grand champion lamb at the 120th Missouri State Fair Sale of Champions Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall on the fairgrounds in Sedalia.

The auction will be live on the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Facebook page and live online bidding will be available through liveauctions.tv.

For more information regarding online bidding, visit the Missouri State Fair website.
