Department of Ag Says Do Not Plant Seeds You Didn’t Order

The Missouri Department of Agriculture is advising Missourians who receive seeds they didn’t order to report them to the USDA. Jacob Flieg is the program coordinator of the department’s Feed and Seed Bureau.

Flieg recommends if you receive a package of seeds and did not order them to not plant those seeds.

At least five people in Missouri reported receiving unexpected packages of seeds in the mail over the weekend. Anyone receiving such a package is asked to report it to the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service by calling 800-877-3835. They ask that you hold onto the seeds until given further instructions by the USDA.
