Deputy Faulkner back home to recover

(Hillsboro) Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy Zach Faulkner is back home from the hospital after he was shot in the abdomen during an incident on Friday, May 28th. Sheriff Dave Marshak says his deputy is in good spirits and should recover over time.
Sheriff Marshak says Deputy Faulkner will have to be cleared both physically and mentally after an incident such as this.
Sheriff Marshak says the community showed a ton of support for Deputy Faulkner.
Groups such as Jefferson County Backstoppers, the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge, and numerous other businesses and residents made donations to the Faulkner family.
