(Hillsboro) Deputy Zach Faulkner recently returned to light work duties with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Faulkner was injured on the job after being struck in the mid-section from a ricochet bullet round from a disturbance a few months ago. Sheriff Dave Marshak says he’s handling some things in the office before returning to the road.
Sheriff Marshak says Faulkner will be eager to get back to helping with Special Operations and SWAT when needed.
Faulkner, along with the SWAT team was serving a search warrant at an apartment complex in Cedar Hill on May 28th, when he was struck by the round. While recovering from the injury, Backstoppers of Jefferson County and other organizations helped fund his medical bills.
