Desloge burglar caught by K9 after robbing Farmington home
A Desloge man has been arrested for burglary after a Farmington police dog tracked him down.
According to a probable cause statement from the Farmington police department, 41-year-old Scott Eddings tried to steal 2 guns from a home on Maple Court Ridge last Wednesday by breaking and entering.
Officials found blood on the basement floor when they were called to the scene; there was a car parked in the driveway the home owner didn’t recognize; and the guns were found in a field behind the house.
A K9 officer deployed his dog, who tracked Eddings’ scent after he fled on foot.
Eddings was found at Parkland Health Center with a laceration on his hand and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
He has been charged with second-degree burglary and faces up to 7 years in prison.
