DeSoto and Festus courts move to Jefferson County

(DeSoto, Festus) A few local municipal courts will officially be done away with, and those cases will be moving to the state courts in Hillsboro. Attorney Mark Bishop with the Wegman Law Firm in Hillsboro has been working with the City of DeSoto municipal court for some time now, and the transition is happening now.

Bishop says getting the paperwork in order has been taking up much of his time lately.

DeSoto and Festus municipal courts are going through the change now. The City of Hillsboro will also be transferring its municipal court across town to the County later this year.
