(DESOTO) DeSoto High School will have a new Athletic Director for the 2020-2021 school year after current AD Matt Deaton made the decision to step down. Deaton will now fill the role of Assistant Principal beginning next year. KJFF reached out for a comment on the decision and Deaton responded via text saying,

“It is a move that is best for my family and myself.”

Deaton’s contract will expire at the end of June 2020. The search for a new Athletic Director at DeSoto is underway. The school is currently accepting applications with the submission deadline set for November 6th.
