The Desoto Dragons will head to the semi-final round of the Class 4 District 2 boys basketball tournament as they defeated the Ste. Genevieve Dragons Saturday afternoon 61-54.

In the game heard on KREI, the lead went back and forth during the first half with the score tied at 11 at the end of the first and tied at 27 at halftime.

Ste. Genevieve pulled ahead with a 13-2 run in the third quarter making it 40-29. Desoto rallied in the fourth as Nick Krodinger tied it up at 52 to take the game into overtime.

 

 

That was our play of the game. Cameron Krodinger led the scoring for Desoto with 16 points, 7 of those in overtime.

Desoto is now 12-15 and will play Farmington in the semi-finals Tuesday evening at 6 at North County High School. Ste. Genevieve was led by Chad Donze who scored 14. They end their season at 14-15.
