DeSoto Boys and Girls Wrestling Teams Feature Pair of Powerhouse Wrestlers and Much Much More

(DESOTO) Landon Porter headlines the returning senior wrestlers to the 2019-2020 DeSoto boys squad that finished 11th at state in Class 3 last season. Porter recently signed his national letter of intent to wrestle at McKendree University next year.

Head Coach John Brown says that McKendree is getting an excellent young man.

Kameren Brooks, Kenny Coats, Chase Greenlee, and Connor Zimmermann are also back and ready for a run at state once again. Coach Brown addresses their pedigree.

Connor Zimmermann signed with Drury University earlier this month.

As for the girls, Hunter Bullock returns for her senior year. Hunter finished last season with a record of 30-5 and was able to reach state as a district champion. Then there is Jaycee Foeller, state champion in the 167-pound weight class last season, finished with a perfect 32-0 record and is only a junior this season.

The Desoto girls wrestling season begins at Affton on December 7th while the boys will meet up with Dexter, Cape Notre Dame, and Sikeston at Dexter High School on December 3rd.
