DeSoto Man and Festus Woman Injured in Auto-Accident in Jefferson County

(St. Louis, Mo.) A man from DeSoto and a woman from Festus were taken to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis after being involved in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Jefferson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place on 2nd Street at AmVets Drive when a Chevrolet Impala driven by 31-year-old Jacob Christiansen of DeSoto was traveling with his emergency lights and siren activated.
A Buick Encore driven by 37-year-old Tera Tolentino of Festus then proceeded into the intersection which caused the Impala to strike the passenger side of her Encore.
Christiansen and Tolentino both sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
