(Ste. Genevieve) The DeSoto Dragons brought home the team title, and Dragons senior Ethan McClinton fired the best round of the day to win the JCAA Golf Championships Wednesday.
McClinton’s one-over-par 73 was 5 strokes better than Festus Tigers senior Collin Weinhaus.
Jack Prince of the Hillsboro Hawks finished third after shooting an 82, with Bradley Hunt’s fifth-place finish at 86 aiding the Dragons in their team championship.
DeSoto’s combined team score of 346 was 25 strokes better than second-place Festus.
Hillsboro bested the St. Vincent Indians by a stroke for third in the team standings.
