DeSoto PD getting back to a full staff

(DeSoto) The DeSoto Police Department still has positions to fill on their force, but things are getting better. DeSoto Police Chief Jeff McCreary says they had been operating short-staffed in their dispatching department, but no longer.
McCreary says the most common things happening in DeSoto are happening all over the county.
It appears DeSoto police officers will be getting a raise with the new city budget which starts next month. A bump in salaries should help the DeSoto Police Department fill the remaining open positions with their road officers.
