DeSoto softball leans on slugger Grobe for more fireworks

(DeSoto) The DeSoto Dragons look very capable of producing some excitement on the softball diamond.

There were already quite a few highlights in 2019 despite winning 6 games.

But head coach Chris Woelich says, win or lose, his team is just a fun bunch to be around.

Few players are as entertaining or as capable with the bat as junior Trista Grobe.

She already clubbed 9 home runs last year to go with a .477 batting average.

Woelich says Grobe is a rare talent.

But for all the fun the Dragons have playing the game, Woelich thinks his team is also capable of more success.

DeSoto got their season started at the Sullivan Tournament and will be on the road against North County Tuesday.
