DeSoto Teen Charged After Crash On HWY 21

A DeSoto teenager was arrested after a single-car accident on Sunday evening. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 19-year-old Saryssa Voyles was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry southbound on Highway 21 north of Perkins, when she lost control, traveled off the right side of the roadway, and struck two trees. Voyles was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The accident took place a little before 6:30 on Sunday night. Voyles was later charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
