DeSoto teenager injured in accident on Jarvis Road

(Hillsboro) A DeSoto teenager was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Jarvis Road east of Zion Lutheran Church Road on Saturday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old male was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer east on Jarvis and struck a dirt embankment, began to overturn, and came to rest in the roadway. The teen was not wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The accident took place around 11:15 Saturday night.
