DeSoto Woman Injured In A Single Vehicle Accident On Route Y

A DeSoto woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Highway Y south of Peter Moore Lane on Saturday evening. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 55-year-old Dawn Boanton was driving a 2010 Toyota Scion southbound failed to negotiate a curve, and traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a mailbox and a tree. She was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. The accident took place at 5 p.m. Saturday.
