DeSoto Woman Injured In Jefferson County Wreck

A Desoto woman was injured in a 1 vehicle accident in Jefferson County Tuesday morning.
According to the highway patrol, 56 year old Brandi Christensen was eastbound on Pappin Road west of Mount Olive Road when she swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. This caused her 2015 Chevrolet Impala to travel off the roadway and strike a tree causing extensive damage to her car.
Christensen was taken to Mercy Hospital South by Joachim Plattin Ambulance District with moderate injuries.
The accident happened at 8:27 Tuesday morning.
