(DESOTO) DeSoto’s Jaycee Foeller was announced on Tuesday as the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week after her championship run at the first-ever girls wrestling district tournament.

Jaycee entered the 167-pound bracket as the number one wrestler in the state and officially won each match by Fall in the first period. Her first two bouts only lasted a combined 28 seconds. In the district semifinal, Jaycee won in 1:27 seconds and in the district final, 1:06 seconds.

She breaks down the toughness of the semifinal and finals matches, which happened to be against the 3rd-ranked and 2nd-ranked wrestlers in the state, respectively.

Based on Jaycee’s results from districts, it seems that wrestling is just too easy for her. But there’s a reason she’s as tough as she is.

Jaycee has chosen the Crystal City Animal Shelter for her 25-dollar donation that the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will make in her name. DeSoto’s Jaycee Foeller will wrestle for a state title when the tournament kicks off next Thursday, the 14th, at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
