DeSoto’s Dill does it all on Dream Team baseball season

(DeSoto) In one of the best seasons in DeSoto Dragons history, Hunter Dill became one of the program’s best-ever players.

His place on the Regional Radio Dream Team confirms that.

Starring both at the plate and on the mound as a senior, Dill was named all-state in Class 5 and was the JCAA Large-School Division Co-Player of the Year.

He says he feels extremely fulfilled by adding this honor.

Dill was one of the best hitters in the state this season, posting a .535 batting average for a DeSoto team that scored over 200 runs.

Dill also finished with 8 doubles, 2 home runs, 23 runs batted in, 32 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.

He says having a great lineup around him and a little tweaking of his process turned him into an elite hitter.

Dill also dominated hitters while pitching.

He finished 2021 with a 2.23 earned-run average and struck out 50 batters in 44 innings.

But he says he had plenty of help.

Dill will continue his career at St. Charles Community College.
