DeSoto’s Foeller adds Dream Team Wrestler of the Year to epic career resume

Jaycee Foeller of the DeSoto Dragons is the gold standard for Missouri high school girls’ wrestling.

She is now also the Regional Radio Dream Team Wrestler of the Year.

Foeller’s accolades are numerous, adding a third straight individual state championship to her trophy case this season.

But she does not take this latest honor lightly.

Foeller walks away from her career perfect, with a record of 121-0 in girl’s competition.

And, while she’s made plenty of memories in her legendary career, some of her favorite came this season while watching her little brothers Asa and Isaac wrestle for DeSoto.

At 174 pounds as a senior, Foeller was named the JCAA Girls’ Wrestler of the Year on her way to another district championship and the finale of an unbeaten career.

But she believes none of her historic accomplishments are possible without her Dragon coaches.

Foeller will be wrestling in college at McKendree University.

She is the second straight DeSoto Dragon to be named Dream Team Wrestler of the Year, after Landon Porter in 2020.
