DeSoto’s Porter wins 150th wrestling match at Bob Georger Classic

DeSoto senior wrestler Landon Porter reached another milestone in his outstanding career.

The Dragon grappler won the championship in the 285-pound division of the 42nd annual Bob Georger Classic in DeSoto on Saturday.

The victory in the title bout was his 150th career win, and Porter says the circumstances made it even sweeter.

However, Porter says he missed at least one extra milestone.

Porter finished fourth in the state in Class 4 in his weight class last year.
While he’s happy with what he’s accomplished, the senior says he has bigger milestones in mind before his career is done.

Porter will start his journey back to the state tournament with wrestling districts on Saturday, February 15th.
