DeSoto’s Vogelsang Makes It A Three-Peat With Another Dream Team Selection

(DeSoto) Kayla Vogelsang has been regular on the Regional Radio Cross Country Dream Team and this year held true to form. The DeSoto runner made her third consecutive Dream team after placing 18th or better in eight different meets adding an 18th place finish at the state meet. She wanted to keep the streak alive and was relieved when she found out she did.

Vogelsang finished in the top ten of four races this year including fourth at the Class 4 District Meet. She explained how difficult the season was but her and her teammates fought through it all.

Kayla has a lot of good memories from this year, but she has one of the best experiences came from a difficult time.

The junior runner continues to put in work to improve even more going into her senior year. As she looks back on this one, she wanted to show appreciation to the DeSoto supporters.

Vogelsang earned All-State honors for the third year in a row, and has similar goals for next year.
