(Viburnum) A positive outlook…that’s what Viburnum school Superintendent Kent Sherrow is projecting even though the district has lost close to 25-percent of it’s funding after the Doe Run Company protested it’s taxes.
Sherrow says some of the original cuts may not happen thanks to some good ideas that have been brought forth.
We asked Sherrow if one of those resource consolidations would be shutting the doors at the Jerry Robinett Elementary School building and moving all those children to the main campus.
Sherrow says there’s also the possibility of Viburnum going to a four-day school week.
However, Sherrow says a decision on the four-day school week at Viburnum does not have to be made until march.
