Disability Fraud in Jefferson County

(St. Louis) A Jefferson County woman has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for taking part in a scheme to defraud the federal government of millions of dollars in disability payments.

67-year-old Elizabeth Guetersloh was convicted in a jury trial earlier this year of mail fraud, wire fraud and theft of government funds.

Prosecutors say she was part of a group of former Anheuser-Busch employees who joined up with the owners of a chiropractic clinic in Arnold and filed false claims to get money from Social Security’s Disability Trust Fund and also from private insurers.
