(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in domestic disturbances at the end of March. There could be a few reasons for that as more people are working from home these days, and students conducting school lessons from home during the current pandemic. However, Sheriff Dave Marshak says those types of calls have increased over 40 percent.

Sheriff Marshak says they continue to follow up on each of these calls for service like normal in order to avoid a potentially dangerous situation.
