Donald Gordon Rose of St. Louis County, formerly of Festus, died Tuesday, March 3rd at the age of 90.

Rose was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and also served in the Air National Guard; member of First United Methodist Church of Festus/Crystal City; was a retired chemical operator from Monsanto in St. Louis, and had also worked for Alexander Office Supply in Crystal City, Gulf United and United Nuclear in Hematite, Missouri. He was an avid fisherman, archery enthusiast, and member of the Waterloo Fishing Club.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann Rose; daughters Dawn M. Rose of Mehlville, and Martha A. Engel of Affton, Missouri; brother in law Ben Witowski; step-children James B. Glasco of Mehlville, and Kristine A. Heimburger of Wentzville; grandchildren Tiffany, Henry, Chandler, Sonya, Mark, Blake, and Karli; and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service with inurnment for Donald Gordon Rose is set for Thursday, March 19th in Resurrection Cemetery Chapel in St. Louis County at 11:30 in the morning. Memorials in his memory are preferred to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry or the de Greeff Hospice House.

Service arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
