Drought Forces Farmington to Cancel 4th of July Fireworks

(Farmington) Unfortunately, the tinder box conditions because of the drought has caused another 4th of July cancellation.

Greg Beavers is the city administrator for the City of Farmington.

Beavers also has some advice to share.

Even though the fireworks are cancelled Tuesday night in Farmington, the special ceremony scheduled for that evening at a certain ball field at Engler Park is still a go.

That rededication of Ragsdale Field at Engler Park in Farmington gets underway at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening.
