Drought Improves in Some Areas But Still Persists In Other Areas of Southeast Missouri

(Farmington) More than 86-percent of Missouri is still experiencing dry or drought conditions.

The latest information from the Missouri Drought Monitor map shows the southern half of Bollinger County experiencing severe drought conditions.

Wayne, most of Perry, the northern end of Bollinger, the southern two-thirds of Madison and the southern ends of Iron and Reynolds are experiencing moderate drought conditions.

All of St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties, along with southern Jefferson and Washington, the northern third of Madison and most of Iron, Reynolds and Dent counties all abnormally dry right now.

The good news is all of Crawford, the northern half of Washington, the northwestern portion of Dent and the northern two-thirds of Jefferson counties are at normal conditions right now.
