Dunklin R-5 School District going all virtual for the remainder of the week

(Herculaneum) The Dunklin R-5 School District is going all virtual the rest of this week.

The announcement was made on Tuesday morning by Superintendent Dr. Clint Freeman.

Dunklin schools Communications Director Matt Lichtenstein says the decision to go virtual is due to a staffing shortage.

According to Lichtenstein the district employs roughly 286 employees and around 20 percent of the workforce is out.

Again, Dunklin R-5 School District will be going all virtual starting on Wednesday through the rest of the week.

District officials are hopeful to be back for in-person learning on Monday.
