(Annapolis) The Environmental Protection Agency released some good news about one of the National Priorities Superfund contaminated sites in Iron County.
The superfund site near Annapolis has been remediated and it has now been taken off the priorities list.
Here’s Jason Gunter, he was the E.P.A. project manager for this site.
Gunter provides details about the clean-up of this site near Annapolis.
There are still several contaminated sites in the listening area that are still on the National Priorities List of Superfund sites.
Some of those are the Big River Mine Tailings Site in St. Francois County, the Madison County Mine Site, Washington County has four separate sites on the list and there is Superfund site in Jefferson County.
