Elks Deer Hide donation Program, benefiting veterans, is ongoing

(Festus/Crystal City) The local Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge #1721 will be participating with several other Elks establishments across the country in its Deer Hide donation program.

The deer hides that get donated will go back in helping our country’s veterans.

Nelson Scherrer with the local Elks says the hides that get donated will go back in helping our country’s veterans.

If you do plan to donate your deer hide to the Elks, Scherrer goes over what you need to do before dropping it off.

Anyone interested in donating their deer hide to the local Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge #1721 can drop off the hide in the white barrel that’s located next to the Elks building.
