The Ellington Whippets are heading to their first ever baseball Final Four as they travel to O’Fallon tomorrow to take on Skyline in the State Semifinal. The Whippets sit at 27-1 on the year while Skyline comes in at 21-7. These are two relatively unfamiliar opponents, with no previous matchups between the two schools. Ellington head coach Jake Hime says despite the unfamiliarity, he knows Skyline to be a talented group and at the end of the day it’s going to come down to his team playing their brand of baseball…

First pitch of tomorrow’s baseball State Semifinal game between Ellington and Skyline is slated for 4:00 PM. We’ll have coverage of the game on J98 (98.5 FM) beginning at 3:45 with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show.

If Ellington wins tomorrow’s game, they will play in the State Championship on Thursday at 1:30 PM. If Ellington loses tomorrow’s game, they will play in the 3rd Place game on Thursday at 11 AM. We will have coverage of the game on Thursday beginning 15 minutes prior to first pitch with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show.
