Ellington Girls Basketball Player Gracie Price Signs with Johnson County

(Overland Park, Ks.) The Ellington Lady Whippets basketball team this year had an impressive 21-5 season and did it all with just one senior. Gracie Price is her name and she just signed to continue her basketball career at the next level with the Johnson County Cavaliers in Overland Park, Kansas. Price says Johnson County is the first step to her ultimate dream.

Price averaged almost 12 points per game and snagged seven rebounds per contest as a senior with Ellington. She was also was tabbed as an All Conference player the past two seasons. However, she says there is one thing she wants to improve on before she gets to Johnson County.

Paula King is the Lady Whippets head coach and she says the Cavaliers are getting a player that will do anything she can to win.

Gracie Price says she wants to be a pharmacist after her basketball career comes to an end. She joins a Johnson County team that went 28-5 last season and made it to the Region 6 championship game.
