Ellington vs Skyline Baseball Semi Resumes Today Tied 1-1

Rain wreaked havoc on the Class 2 state baseball semifinals in O’Fallon Wednesday, as the Ellington Whippets and the Skyline Tigers were unable to get through 2 full innings before the game had to be postponed due to inclement weather. The Whippets had just tied the game up at 1 in the top of the second when play was halted.

The game will resume starting at 11 Thursday morning, with the second semifinal between Seymour and Silex to immediately follow. The winner moves to the championship game Friday morning at 11. The third place game has been cancelled. We’ll have coverage Thursday morning starting at 10:45 on J98.
