Ellington’s Kyle Conkright Scores a Spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team

(Ellington, Mo.) An impressive junior season for Ellington Whippets boys basketball standout Kyle Conkright has landed him a spot on the Regional Radio Dream Team.

Conkright helped lead the Whippets to a 13-12 record this year which included a 7-2 record in their final nine games of the season.

He says after a slow start, the team was able to find their rhythm down the stretch.

With a versatile skill set at his disposal, Conkright says he does whatever is needed to help his team win.

Having grown up around the Ellington basketball program, Conkright says it has been fun to don the Whippets’ orange and black.

This season Conkright averaged 20.5 points per game, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

He was named Class 2 All-District and All-Conference for both the Black River League and the Big Springs Conference.
