Elly Eckrich Pitches/Hits Way Onto Dream Team

(Hillsboro) Elly Eckrich proved to be a two way dynamo for the Hillsboro softball team on her way to a being selected as a member of Regional Radio Dream Team. She led the pitching staff and was the team’s second best threat on the offensive side of the ball. Eckrich struck out 117 with a 2.19 ERA and held the opposition to a .191 batting average. She says she’s proud of her success, but is pushing to get even better…

Eckrich also hit .434 and drove in 18 runs. She says she loves to hit, but not quite as much as preventing hits…

While Eckrich was happy to have individual success, she relished the team accomplishments most of all…

Hillsboro went 18-10 overall and 7-0 in the JCAA.
Eckrich will be back to try to do it all again for her senior season.
